Age: Not mor e than 28 years as on 31 -07-2012 (relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5 years

for SC/ST).

Educational Qualification: First-class graduates with minimum aggregate average of

70% marks (relax ed by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/

Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering /Architecture

from a recognized University/Institute are eligible to apply. The candidates sh ould have

qualified in GATE 2011 or 2012 . Final year students who will secure the eligible degree

before the commencement of the course can also apply.

Selection Process: The candidates short listed based on the GATE score and qualifying

examination will be called for a test/interview w hich will be conducted at IIT Madras in

coordination with CMRL. Final selection will be subject to medical fitness.

Stipend: For the one year course, CMRL will pay the candidates a stipend of Rs .

20,000/- per month and also the necessary sponsorship and t uition fees to IIT Madras.
